These efforts support programs that improve the lives of children and the vulnerable in our community.

Fishing Derby
The Fishing Derby at Rockwood Park is an annual children’s event organized by the Kiwanis Club of Saint John in partnership with the City of Saint John. The derby brings together 75–150 children and their families for a fun, safe, and welcoming outdoor experience.

Soap Box Derby
Each Spring in Saint John, the Beaconsfield Middle School Soap Box Derby team takes to the hill with a car proudly sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Saint John. In 2025, the club provided a new wrap for the Super Stock racer.

4 Little Free Libraries
The Little Free Library initiative in Saint John is a simple but powerful way to promote literacy and community connection. These four outdoor book boxes operate on a “take a book, leave a book” model, providing free and easy access to reading materials for children and families.

2 Kiwanis Playgrounds
The Kiwanis Club of Saint John supports two local playgrounds by contributing funding, advocacy, and community leadership to help create safe, inclusive spaces where children can play, connect, and thrive.

Breakthrough T1D Walk
The Breakthrough T1D Walk in Saint John is a vibrant, family-friendly community event that brings together children, families, and supporters living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The club is a major sponsor of it in Saint John. Join the team and donate here

Christmas Breakfast
The Kiwanis Christmas Breakfast is one of the most cherished holiday traditions hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Saint John. The event brings together community members, families, local leaders, and supporters for a warm and festive morning celebrating the spirit of giving.

Kiwanis Cash Calendar
Since its launch in 2002, the Cash Calendar has raised over $1.7 million to support children and youth across Saint John. It offering supporters a simple and engaging way to give back while having a chance to win. It is a popular fundraising tool for local clubs and nonprofits.

Market Parking
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Saint John provide convenient parking by donation at the Key Industries lot, directly across from Queen Square during the the Farmers Market. It’s an easy, close option for visitors—and every donation supports the work of the club.
